The Bana Summer School
Established in 1972, Bana Summer School has been providing quality instruction during the summer months for Elementary School students in and around Montreal. The main goal of the program is to help students improve their academic skills through remediation or enrichment activities. The program also provides cultural and other activities designed to help enrich the experiential backgrounds of students.
The Bana elementary program has three locations 1) St. Laurent, 2) Cote Des Neiges/ Hampstead and 3) LaSalle. It is held during the summer for a period of five weeks. The teaching staff is comprised of qualified experienced teachers who are familiar with the curriculum in the elementary schools and are sensitive to the needs of the students. In most cases, individual learning packages are developed for specific students. The courses offered are: English, French, Expanded French, Mathematics, and Black History.
